Audit staff reports Emergency Management audit in fieldwork, draft due in May
Office of Operational Analysis reported fieldwork underway on the Emergency Management audit, with analysis and reporting scheduled in April and a draft expected in May; committee likely to see the draft in August due to summer recess.

Internal Auditor Hassemer told the committee the comprehensive Emergency Management audit is in the fieldwork stage and staff have focused interviews on leaders called during emergencies. He said fieldwork should finish within the next two weeks, analysis and reporting will begin in April, and the auditors expect a draft by the end of May.
