Chester ISD board accepts trustee resignation, appoints Bryan Martin
The Chester ISD Board unanimously accepted trustee Calvin Bittick’s resignation and appointed Bryan Martin to fill the vacancy until the next trustee election. The action followed routine board procedures at the Jan. 20 meeting.

Wade Read, board president, called the Chester Independent School District Board of Trustees meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 20, 2025, in the Chester ISD Library. During the meeting, Shawna Neal moved to accept the resignation of trustee Calvin Bittick; Sam Handley seconded and the motion was approved unanimously.
