Board approves multiple district purchases, tables skid steer loader

The Fabens ISD Board reviewed a package of procurement items on Aug. 20 and approved most purchases and contract renewals presented by district staff. Technology Department LEAF capital funding, curriculum purchases for Lexia and TEKS resources, Frontline software renewal and annual paper purchases were approved following staff presentations and motions from trustees.
During the procurement block, the Maintenance Department's request to purchase a skid steer loader was discussed and tabled (motion carried to table). District insurance items, presented by Philip Brisco of USI, were approved after questions about coverage and increases. Child Nutrition vendor purchases including Labatt, Segovias, GH Dairy and others were also approved.
