Steger officials: website and garbage contract RFPs moving forward

Village Administrator Mary Jo Seehausen briefed the board on administrative preparations at the July 21 meeting and said staff are processing responses to a website request for proposals and preparing a garbage-contract RFP.
"We have been getting a lot of responses from the RFP for the website," Seehausen said, adding that the Mayor and administrator were finalizing the garbage contract RFP and expected to issue it in the next couple of weeks. She told trustees she would circulate the documents to them and that staff may hold sub-meetings to vet proposals before inviting vendors to present.
Seehausen also confirmed that board members who signed up will attend the Illinois Municipal League Conference in September; no budget details for the RFPs were specified at the meeting.
