Steger board authorizes RFP for new village website and mobile app

The Village of Steger authorized staff to issue a request for proposals for a new website and a mobile application after a motion by Trustee Thurmond.
"They will come with their package and we can decide as a group what we want to do with it," Mayor Joyce said, describing the planned RFP process. Trustee Thurmond moved to go out for the RFP and Trustee Stewart seconded; trustees voted unanimously to proceed.
Mayor Joyce and trustees said the RFP step follows prior information requests and is intended to let firms propose packages that the village can evaluate against its needs and budget.
