Harleton ISD trustees approve several plans, set FIRST-rating hearing; migrant plan tabled

Harleton ISD—s Board of Trustees took a series of formal actions during its Oct. 8, 2024 regular meeting, approving a Harrison County Shared Services Arrangement for 2024-2025 and adopting campus and district improvement plans for 2024-2025. The board also approved a staff meal increase, accepted donations listed on the consent agenda and approved the District Investment Policy as presented.
Board members voted in roll-call fashion for each motion. For example, the Harrison County Shared Services Arrangement passed on a motion by Kevin Evers, seconded by Pat Mc Gill; trustees Brad Nixon, Harvey Fox, Kevin Wright, Brian Degner and Jacob Muehlstein voted in favor and the motion carried. The board also set Dec. 10, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. as the public hearing for the district—s 2023-2024 FIRST Rating (motion by Harvey Fox; second by Brad Nixon). The 2024-2025 Migrant Plan was tabled to the Nov. 12, 2024 meeting. The meeting adjourned at 7:43 p.m.
