Board authorizes superintendent to finalize interdistrict MOU for evacuation transportation

At the Nov. 12 meeting, the Harleton ISD Board passed a motion authorizing Mr. Jay Ratcliff to approve an interdistrict memorandum of understanding with Ore City ISD and New Diana ISD for mutual assistance with transportation during a school district evacuation. The motion was moved by Harvey Fox and seconded by Pat Mc Gill; recorded votes listed Brad Nixon, Kevin Evers, Kevin Wright and Jacob Muehlstein in favor and none opposed.
The minutes do not include the draft MOU text, responsibilities of each district, liability or insurance terms, or any cost-sharing arrangements. The authorization delegates final approval of the MOU to the superintendent or designee, with procurement and legal review to follow standard district procedures.
