Hays CISD board begins rezoning process for fall 2025 Ramage Elementary

Board President Raul Vela read the suggested motion and Trustee Johnny Flores moved to begin the rezoning process; Board Secretary Vanessa Petrea seconded. The motion passed with a recorded vote of 6-0. The Board directed staff to make public the district’s intent and to follow local policy for the rezoning process.
The action starts a multi-step community engagement and mapping process that will produce proposed boundaries for public review. No final zone lines were adopted at this meeting; the entry in the minutes records only the initiation of the process.
