At its Oct. 8 meeting the Town of Charleston Planning Board approved routine items, reviewed a draft comprehensive plan and outreach schedule, and heard a proposal to develop a Begley Road property into a lodge and 10–15 tourist cabins; questions remain about an abandoned road and subdivision requirements.

The Town of Charleston Planning Board met Oct. 8, 2025; Chair David Wiener called the meeting to order at 6:57 p.m. Board members recorded attendance, heard no public comments, and moved to approve the agenda and last month’s minutes (motions noted in the minutes). The meeting adjourned at 7:56 p.m.
