The Mercedes ISD board unanimously approved a renewal of the district's stop-loss insurance as presented by Roger Garza. Garza told trustees the renewal would be with ISU SA Benefits and that "the company was offering a 1% decrease in premium rate." The board approved the item on a unanimous vote.
