The Mount Vernon Independent School District Board of Trustees voted Feb. 11 to adopt TASB Local Policy Update 124, which applies legal revisions to several district-local policies. The update affects local policies including CAA (Fiscal Management goals and ethics), CDA (Investments), CY (Intellectual Property), DH (Employee Standards of Conduct), EHB and EHBB (Curriculum and Gifted/Talented programs), FFG (Child Abuse and Neglect) and GKA (Conduct on School Premises). The motion to adopt the update was made by Kyle Clayton and seconded by Josh Jordan; the motion passed 7-0.
