Lovejoy ISD board approves class size exemption resolution
The Board approved a Class Size Exemption Resolution on Aug. 19 to allow the district to exceed statutory class size limits where necessary. The motion was made by Jeff Wood, seconded by Mark Wheelis, and passed 6–0 with one absence.

The Board voted to adopt the Class Size Exemption Resolution for 2024—6 as presented by Anna Koenig. Trustee Jeff Wood moved for approval, Trustee Mark Wheelis seconded, and the motion passed with a recorded vote of Yea: 6, Nay: 0, Absent: 1.
