A county staff member (referred to in the meeting as "Chris") told the committees that the RFP for the River Drive properties was issued April 23 with proposals due in July and that only one formal respondent returned a proposal. He said staff conducted two walk‑throughs — roughly six people at the first walk‑through and a smaller turnout at the second — and used press releases and a contact list of roughly 40 developers to solicit interest.
