Vernon County health officer Amy Clyburn said the county's agent program has expanded from about 162 facilities in 2018 to more than 450 in 2026, is fully fee‑funded, and staff recommended adding one sanitarian; the committee voted to forward the hiring request to finance.

Amy Clyburn, Vernon County health officer, described the county’s role as an agent of the state under DATCP and walked the committee through rapid program growth, staffing history and financials. She said the program started with about 162 facilities in 2018, rose through the pandemic and now exceeds 450 facilities. “We went up to 3 66 facilities…In 2026, over 4 50 facilities and that is climbing,” Clyburn said.
