The Pasadena ISD Board approved a package of education-related contracts and interlocal agreements at the Aug. 27 meeting. Key approvals included a $132,550 renewal for BrainPOP (Sept. 1, 2024'Aug. 31, 2025), a $120,000 contract with E-Therapy for speech language therapy services, and an interlocal agreement with Region 4 ESC for OnData Suite ($30,865.90) and TSDS Core/PEIMS collection ($5,750). Motions to approve each item were made by Vickie Morgan and passed unanimously 6-0.
The board also approved an interlocal agreement with Texas Woman's University to host speech language pathology assistants with no financial implication, and an agreement with the Harris County Department of Education for music therapy services for $9,785. These approvals were presented in the Educational Section following a spotlight presentation on teaching and communication tools by Melissa McCalla and Traci Powell.
