County seeks broadband support and reports roadwork; CW Matthews roundabout underway
County Manager reported Sumter Electric asked for a letter supporting Charter/Spectrum broadband service; road maintenance and a CW Matthews roundabout project are under way, and staff thanked election workers for late-night support.

County Manager Thomas Weaver told commissioners that Sumter Electric and local economic-development interests requested a letter of support to help secure Charter/Spectrum internet service in parts of the county. Weaver also praised staff who assisted with recent elections and reported that roadway work — including aggregate on Patterson Road and work on Riverbend Road and Hwy 137 — is ongoing; he said CW Matthews has begun the county's roundabout project.
