Barrington board tables Axon body-worn camera contract over security language; return set for Aug. 24

Trustee Preege moved to remove and table the Axon body-worn camera contract from the consent agenda citing security concerns in the contractual language; the board voted to table the ordinance to the Aug. 24 meeting to allow coordination with the vendor.

Trustee Preege asked to remove item (c) — an ordinance authorizing a master service and purchase agreement with Axon for body-worn cameras and a digital evidence management system — from the consent agenda and moved to table that ordinance to the Aug. 24 meeting "citing security concerns in the contractual language," the trustee said. The motion to table was seconded and the board recorded a roll-call vote to move consideration to the Aug. 24 meeting.
