Legal counsel explained that the Fire Protection District’s withdrawal request did not meet statutory eligibility because the URA’s outstanding contractual obligations exceed the increment attributable to that district. Counsel reviewed the numbers and the board moved to deny the request. "Our outstanding contractual obligations and debt exceeds their number," counsel said when summarizing the analysis.
