Board flags code enforcement budgets, seeks clarification on Rose’s numbers; raises hydrant and ambulance payroll concerns

During the Oct. 8 budget workshop the board reviewed building and code enforcement line items and concluded that some figures should be adjusted. Members said B2771’s $30,000 allocation appears too low and flagged B2555 for revision; they directed staff to use ‘Rose’s’ numbers for now until the Code Enforcement Officer’s figures are clarified.
Budget Officer Lara Hamrah-Poladian also reported she had not received a response from the Village of Hunter about hydrant charges and said ambulance payroll processing consumes an outsized number of hours for both the payroll clerk and the Ambulance Administrator, recommending simplification. Supervisor Mahoney additionally asked for towing-revenue accounting to be provided to the board so they can see how those funds are applied to expenses.
