The Town of Huron Planning Board heard an update on its comprehensive plan at its Sept. 4 meeting, when Chairman George Steffler said he had "inquired with Hannah Eygnor" and that she "spoke of 73 of them" in reference to questionnaire responses. Steffler told members the town has not yet heard back from the State on its application and said steering committees will be formed when guidance arrives.
The update frames the next procedural steps: the board will await the State's direction before convening steering committees to guide plan drafting and outreach. The comprehensive plan process will determine future land-use priorities for Huron and track with state review timelines; no formal decisions or deadlines were set at the meeting.
