Board OKs $13,500 permitting software purchase for building office

The Huron Town Board approved purchasing the Edmunds IPS Advanced Bundle to replace the current permitting program.
Building Inspector Roger Gallant told the board the current system does not track septic records and creates extra work for the clerk and his office; he said there are sufficient funds in the Deputy pay line to cover the $13,500 cost. On a motion by Councilmember Phil Eygnor, seconded by Councilmember Bob Cahoon, the board adopted Resolution #102-2024 to approve the purchase, funding it from A3620.1011 (Building Assistant Personnel).
