Winona County’s Planning Commission voted to change its regular meeting start time from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Commissioners discussed staff capacity, member availability and seasonal effects before passing the motion by voice vote.
A staff poll circulated to members returned mixed feedback, but several commissioners said a 6:00 p.m. start would reduce late‑night travel and be a better use of staff time. The change will be reflected in future agendas and was adopted by a voice vote during the July 16 meeting.
