School board approves district Language Access Plan
The board unanimously approved the district's Language Access Plan, which aims to improve communication access for non-English-speaking families; the motion passed 6–0.

The Independent School District 279 board approved the district’s Language Access Plan at the June 23 meeting. Kelsey Dawson moved the approval and Sarah Mitchell seconded; the motion carried on a 6–0 roll call vote. The minutes state simply: "Motion by Kelsey Dawson, seconded by Sarah Mitchell, to approve the district’s Language Access Plan, as presented."
