Seaside board sets process to appoint two Budget Committee members
The board agreed each member will submit a ranked list of the four Budget Committee applicants before Dec. 1; the board will appoint the top two candidates at its December meeting, and at least one appointee must serve on the Equity Advisory Committee.

The Seaside School District 10 board reviewed Budget Committee applications and established a process for appointing two new members. Superintendent Susan Penrod outlined candidate materials and noted one Budget Committee seat must be filled by someone who serves on the Equity Advisory Committee. The board moved that each board member submit a ranked list of the four applicants before Dec. 1; at the December regular meeting the board will appoint the top two candidates. The motion carried unanimously.
