The Seaside School District 10 board reviewed Budget Committee applications and established a process for appointing two new members. Superintendent Susan Penrod outlined candidate materials and noted one Budget Committee seat must be filled by someone who serves on the Equity Advisory Committee. The board moved that each board member submit a ranked list of the four applicants before Dec. 1; at the December regular meeting the board will appoint the top two candidates. The motion carried unanimously.
The board’s direction creates a deadline-driven, ranked-selection process to produce appointments at the next regular meeting. The board instructed staff to compile applications for members’ ranking and to prepare the December agenda to include the appointment action.
