Jones County Commissioners Court accepted a tax-abatement application for the Mesquite Solar Project during its July 27, 2026 regular meeting. Commissioner Lonnie Vivian moved to accept the application; Commissioner Danny Collett seconded. The motion was recorded as passing with Commissioners Joel Spraberry and County Judge Dale Spurgin recorded as voting aye.
