During its June 9 meeting the Pendleton School District board approved two external grants to support PHS athletics. Business Services staff presented the recommendations: $2,000 to the Pendleton Wrestling Club to support the PHS wrestling team camp and $7,500 to the Pendleton Linebackers Club for PHS football program scholarships.
Director Anne Keeler moved to approve the grants and asked that letters of appreciation be sent to each agency; Director Jill Pace seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The funds are grant awards to community organizations to support student participation in athletics.
