The Board approved the Sheriff’s June meal log, hired a deputy for animal control at $20.90/hour, accepted a $400 K9 medical kit donation, authorized out-of-state deputy travel July 18–19, and authorized purchase of a declared-surplus service weapon for $10 by a departing deputy.

Sheriff Eddie Hawkins presented several routine operational items to the Board. The June 2026 meal log was spread on the minutes; Supervisor Williamson moved approval and Supervisor Furnari seconded, resulting in a 5-0 vote. The Board approved the hire of Crystal Howse as Deputy-Animal Control at a rate of $20.90 per hour, effective July 27, 2026, and accepted a donation from Protection4Paws of a Buddy Bag-K9 medical kit valued at $400.
