Trustees voted to adopt local law number 3 of 2026 to regulate short‑term rentals in the village, creating a permit requirement for all rentals under 30 days and enforcement authority for code and police. As presented to the board, the proposal includes fines “up to a $100 a day or 1000 dollars for willful violations,” and staff said the village will review county listings to identify existing rentals.
