Brian Pincelli, Director of Economic Development & Planning, told supervisors that the New York State Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) process opened recently and will remain open through July 31, and that his department is available to assist with funding applications. "He noted that a workshop will be held at RIT for anyone interested in attending and reminded members that his department is available to assist with funding applications and related opportunities," the minutes state.
Pincelli also said he will circulate model code language for battery energy storage systems and for solar projects to supervisors for internal review and distribution at the town level. Supervisor Dave Fantuzzo asked that staff provide guidance to towns about the types of questions local officials should ask when approached about battery storage projects or data centers, emphasizing that communities need information before moving forward with proposals.
