The Kearney Board of Aldermen voted to adopt an ordinance approving a memorandum of understanding with the Clay County Sheriff's Office to document emergency dispatching services for the city. Police Chief Mark Thomas told the board Clay County has provided dispatching for Kearney "probably since Christ was a corporal, a long time," and that the MOU simply formalizes the relationship without changing prices.
