New town clerk named; Community Development pauses lower-priority projects

At the start of the meeting Chair Jennifer McCulloch acknowledged town announcements: Town Manager Thomas Dansie introduced Kyndal Sagers as the new Town Clerk. Mr. Dansie also told the commission that, because of staffing shortages in Community Development, staff will pause some lower-priority projects and that moving the June 3 work meeting would need to be added to a future agenda for a vote.
Director Niall Connolly confirmed staff capacity constraints in his department and noted that some non-urgent projects will be deprioritized. The commission designated Commissioner Mellisa LaBorde as a voting member for the meeting in place of an excused member. No formal action was taken on the calendar change during this meeting.
