The Town Council approved Ordinance 2026‑08 after deliberation on May 13, 2026, revising Section 10‑18‑4 of the code to introduce tiered minimum landscaping and open space requirements for properties in the Village Commercial zone. Under the adopted framework, properties half an acre or larger must provide 60% landscape or natural open space; parcels 0.25–0.5 acre must provide 50%; and parcels smaller than 0.25 acre must provide 40%.
