Trustees adopt municipal code changes on adjudication, special meetings and water rate structure
Board approved second-reading ordinances to (1) permit monthly administrative adjudication hearings, (2) require five-business-day notice for special meeting requests (except emergencies), and (3) amend water rates by splitting pass-through supply and a village operations charge with an automatic 2% annual increase to the village portion.

The Village Board on Aug. 10 approved several municipal code amendments on second reading. Manager Rivas and staff presented an amendment to allow Community and Economic Development to hold code‑enforcement adjudication hearings monthly rather than every two weeks under a section of the Illinois municipal code previously only available to home‑rule municipalities.
