Development services director updates commission on bids, trails and community events

Development Services Director Will briefed commissioners on upcoming bids (Main Street interim advertised Oct. 3; Onion Creek Trail mid‑October; Garlic Creek Trail late October) and listed community events including Buda Arts Festival (Sept. 17–21), job fair (Sept. 17), Buda Restaurant Week (Oct. 13–20) and Halloween at Buda City Park (Oct. 26).
Will, the development services director, gave the director's report with project and events updates and reminders for commissioners.
He said Main Street interim is advertised for bid on Oct. 3, Onion Creek Trail is scheduled for mid‑October bidding and Garlic Creek Trail is planned for late October. Will also reminded commissioners of community events: the Buda Arts Festival (Sept. 17–21), a job fair at City Hall on Sept. 17, library children and teen classes resuming Sept. 3, the last summer concert show Sept. 14 and Buda Restaurant Week Oct. 13–20. "Main Street interim is now advertised for bid on October 3," Will said.
Will asked commissioners to confirm availability for the next meeting (Sept. 24) and invited future agenda requests related to bonds, CIP projects and staff recommendations for collaborating with the Commission on Aging.
