Cynthia Tierney, Asotin County Community Services Director, asked the Board of Commissioners at its Aug. 3 meeting for approval to apply for the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Climate Commitment Act grant to fund public transportation needs, including the purchase of new buses and related equipment. The Board approved by consensus that Tierney may submit the application, and asked that she return to the Board to review any awarded contract in detail before final acceptance.
