The Oneida County Public Works Committee approved five town bridge aid requests for 2027, citing available funds after some towns postponed prior projects and a contingency increase to $100,000.

The Oneida County Public Works Committee voted July 23 to approve five town bridge aid requests for 2027. Highway Commissioner Ben Rich told the committee that, because some towns postponed previously approved projects, the town bridge aid account could fund the five new requests, the Town of Pelicans' 2026 request and an adequate contingency. Motion by Dan Hess and Bob Almekinder to approve the five requests as presented; motion carried.
