Spring City approves $35,000 purchase of surplus equipment from Rhea County
The Spring City commission voted 3-0 to buy surplus road equipment from the Rhea County Highway Department for a total of $35,000, including $4,000 for a hydraulic repair to a roller. Funding will come from the General Fund balance (110-27100).

At the special call meeting on Feb. 19, 2025, the Town of Spring City Board of Commissioners approved a motion to purchase surplus equipment from the Rhea County Highway Department. The listed items are a 2016 New Holland 4WD tractor; a 2017 Diamond boom mower with 15" boom and 50" rotary; and a 1998 9,000-lb Dunapac steel-wheel roller. The purchase price stated in the minutes is $31,000, with an additional $4,000 requested for a hydraulic repair to the roller, bringing the total to $35,000.
