Facilities sets aside $15,000 for technician support at Oklahoma County detention center elevators

John Keith told the advisory board that Facilities was asked to fund a month of on-site technician coverage at peak times for the detention center elevators and that the department had put $15,000 in place to pay for that coverage at an indicated billing rate.
"We were asked to fund 1 month's attendance of a technician to remain on-site over there at their busiest times to be determined by Kone and, the management over there," John Keith said. He described an anticipated on-site window of about 7–11 a.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays and said the $15,000 would be drawn against at a billing rate of $355 an hour.
Keith added he could not provide a current operational update for the elevators or confirm parts status and suggested the operations team could provide the immediate condition report. The board acknowledged the funding arrangement and thanked Facilities for arranging the coverage.
