On the regular agenda the Department of Transportation presented three contract approvals. The board approved a contract with Advanced Sports Construction LLC for drainage system repairs on Addie Lane at 7 Springs Circle in an amount not to exceed $348,022.40 (project B22197). The board also approved a consultant-services agreement with HDR Engineering Inc. for preliminary engineering design of the South Cobb Transit Center in an amount not to exceed $980,040 (project B2452), and a supplemental agreement with Atkins Realis Inc. for additional professional services at an amount not to exceed $592,750 to provide a City of Mableton liaison engineer.
Each DOT motion was moved, seconded, and carried by a 5–0 vote. Later, ITS Director Kimberly Lemley presented a joint item with Probate Court to contract with Databank IMX LLC for digitization of historical microfilm and aperture card records in an amount not to exceed $89,305.34; that motion also passed 5–0. Commissioners had minimal discussion on these items beyond confirming funding sources and standard procurement provisions.
