The Mills County Board of Supervisors met Aug. 4, 2026, in Glenwood and approved the consent agenda, which included the agenda and minutes from the July 28 meeting. Supervisor Jack Sayers moved to approve the consent agenda and Supervisor Lonnie Mayberry seconded; the board recorded a 3-0 vote in favor.
The board then approved a personnel hire: Supervisor Lonnie Mayberry moved and Supervisor Jack Sayers seconded to hire Izaak Bergantzel as an engineering technician beginning Aug. 10, 2026, at $29.87 per hour. The motion carried 3-0. County Engineer Jacob Ferro reported that the H12 and Deacon Road projects are progressing, graders will be working on gravel roads, and a safety meeting is scheduled for Aug. 12, 2026.
Auditor Amber Farnan also reminded the board of a meeting identified in the minutes as the "Super Board" meeting on Aug. 13, 2026; the minutes do not define that body beyond the label. The board adjourned the regular meeting at 9:13 a.m.
