Council presses developer on Tiger Fuel parking counts, ADA spaces and soil testing for tank removal

Council members told the Tiger Fuel developer they need clearer drawings after finding the submitted plan shows far fewer parking spaces than expected, asked whether soil testing will be required when underground fuel tanks are removed, and requested square-footage and tenant information.

City staff and councilors pressed a developer about a proposed Tiger Fuel redevelopment, saying submitted drawings list 37 parking spaces while the site may need far more to meet expected uses. Council members cited ADA guidance and said typical accessible-parking ratios require about one accessible space per 25 stalls; using the developer's estimate of 85 spaces would yield four accessible stalls.
