Commissioners agree to simplified marking method for administrator selection

One commissioner proposed replacing a ranked 1—6 scoring system with a simpler method: mark (X) the top three choices. The commission accepted the approach to speed counting and to focus on finalists rather than full-order rankings.
"I would like to, move that we, maybe do a different direction on this ... to just maybe X the, top 3 of choices for each of us so we can maybe move along a little bit faster," said Speaker 2. Staff confirmed they could sum the X marks to identify the group advance and proceed with the tally.
