The Board of Trustees approved a motion July 13 to have Code Enforcement report to the Town Clerk. Trustee Richard Wuehler moved to return supervision to the clerk; Trustee Geoffrey Broughton seconded and the motion passed with all AYES.
The minutes note that code enforcement had previously reported to the Town Clerk but was reassigned by a prior Board; trustees did not provide additional operational detail in the motion. The change directs the clerk — currently Kristina Duran — to supervise the code officer going forward. The Board also discussed, during public comment, resident concerns alleging inconsistent enforcement of the tree clearance code and requested follow-up information to clarify past actions by the code officer.
