"I make a motion to approve the extension of a conditional offer and offer employment to applicant number 02252026 to fill a full time labor mechanic position... at a rate of $25 per hour," Trustee (S3) said when making the motion; another trustee seconded the motion and members indicated their assent by voice. Mayor (S1) explained the conditional offer allows the village to run required background checks and preserve applicant privacy by referring to the applicant by number while checks are pending.
The board asked staff to return with results of the background and driving checks and to report on final hiring once vetting is complete.
