A city agency official explained when motorists in Ohio must stop for yellow school buses: on roads with fewer than four lanes, traffic in both directions must stop; on roads with four or more lanes, traffic in the opposite direction does not have to stop. "On roads with fewer than 4 lanes, traffic in both directions must stop," the official said, adding the four-lane exception applies under state law.
