Mary Skilling, the county recorder, presented her annual compliance report and budget items. She reported that in 2025 the recorder's office processed 8,533 documents and was "100% compliant with statutory turnaround time." She asked the board to accept the compliance report and then described special funds (recorder technology fund and land records modernization) that pay for equipment and projects.
Skilling also requested a salary increase to $90,000 from a current $86,000 and said she submitted comparable salaries from nearby counties for reference. She proposed a one‑time indexing project to make property‑record images from 1973–1992 searchable by name and legal description, to be funded from the recorder technology fund.
