Morgan said she will contact the Kansas Department of Commerce to initiate workforce assistance programs that may be available for employees affected by anticipated layoffs, including displaced‑worker assistance, on‑the‑job training and retraining funds. The board thanked Morgan and expressed support for moving forward.
