Commission sets 2026 work sessions for 9 a.m. after tie-breaking votes
After competing motions to schedule 2026 work sessions at 4 p.m. or 9 a.m., the commission rejected the 4 p.m. proposal and adopted 9 a.m. work sessions; the votes were split with Chairman Charles Coffey casting the deciding vote in both rollcalls.

On Dec. 2 commissioners debated proposed times for next year's work sessions. Commissioner Jason Frost moved to set work sessions at 4:00 p.m.; that motion received two affirmative votes (Frost and Damon Hoyte) and two opposed votes (Timothy Biddle and Gerald Douglas), and Chairman Charles Coffey cast the tiebreaking vote against the proposal, leaving the measure defeated 2–3.
