Board authorizes ordering $1,095 generator controller after repeated failures

Clerk Melody Hall and visiting water operator Bob Shull told the board the pump-house generator has intermittently failed its weekly test despite multiple service calls by MSI. Hall said MSI identified low coolant and a failing sensor, Generac recommended replacing the controller, and MSI will give the village a discount for repeated service calls.
Clerk Hall reported the replacement controller costs $1,095.42. Trustee Diane Brown moved to have MSI order the part; Trustee Cheryl Stevens seconded and the motion carried. The village did not schedule a timeline for installation at the meeting; Hall said MSI will order the controller and follow up with the village.
