County manager reports water-permit renewals, trail and dock project updates
County Manager Thomas Weaver told the commission that permits for wells 2 and 3 are current for about ten years, water crews completed several service-line repairs this month, and staff is awaiting Corps of Engineers responses on a dock project; the manager also reviewed a trail grant and forthcoming Georgia Power outreach.

County Manager Thomas Weaver briefed the commission during the Jan. 26 work session on departmental items. Weaver said the water department completed four service-line repairs and fixed a lid at well No. 3; he reported that permits for wells 2 and 3 are now current and should be in place for about ten years. Weaver also said he contacted the Corps of Engineers on the dock project and is awaiting approval.
